The Security of our passengers and staff is critical to our operation and as part of our redevelopment we needed to find the right infrastructure solution and partner to make the most of the technology available to us today, as well as providing the infrastructure for technology that will be available to us in the future. We feel we have more than achieved our objectives with Excel and DWM.”

Global leaders in facilities management
Swissport International Ltd. is a global provider of airport ground handling and air cargo services, headquartered in Opfikon, Switzerland. The organisation supports approximately 265 million passengers and handles around 4.7 million tonnes of cargo annually across its worldwide operations.
Founded in 1996 as Swissair Ground Services International following its separation from Swissair, the company has since grown significantly through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, establishing itself as a leading player in the aviation services sector.
The Aspire Lounge at London Luton Airport is a relaxing place to unwind ahead of a flight out of the airport. Guests can enjoy a food and beverage service as well as comfortable seating as they prepare for their flight.
The challenge
Swissport operates a Hikvision CCTV solution within the Aspire Lounge at London Luton Airport and identified the requirement for long-term support of the system.
The objective was to ensure that, in the event of any issue, faults would be addressed and resolved promptly, minimising operational impact and maintaining service continuity.
The solution
entrustIT provides Swissport with a comprehensive CCTV support service, including regular software upgrades, hardware maintenance, user configuration, training, and an annual full clean, realignment, and system service. This end-to-end support model delivers complete peace of mind, ensuring that any issues are identified and resolved within agreed timescales.
As part of the support contract, structured user training is provided to ensure staff are confident in operating the system and able to recognise when performance is degraded. This enables issues to be escalated promptly and ensures timely engineer response from entrustIT when required.
The benefits
DWM delivered the works to a tightly managed programme defined by LLAOL, coordinating on-site engineering resources alongside multiple contractors delivering parallel services.
Effective planning and collaboration ensured the installation was completed smoothly, with minimal disruption to the airport’s day-to-day operations.
As a result, London Luton Airport now benefits from a highly modern, technically advanced security solution that supports the ongoing safety of passengers and staff. This capability is underpinned by an Excel infrastructure platform, backed by a comprehensive 25-year warranty, providing long-term assurance and resilience.
